A short tour through the old town of Kahla.
It's worth taking a photo tour in late spring, when it's blooming again and sunlight illuminates the many narrow streets.
Kahla was not bombed during World War II and not a single house was destroyed. The Allies needed the skilled workers and engineers from the REIMAG aircraft factory (in Walpersberg). This largely underground factory was not attacked either ...
Unfortunately, this beautiful historical building could not be well preserved due to the shortage economy in the GDR.
With extensive renovations, the city is now well on the way to becoming a center of attraction for tourism.
Take the time for the beautiful old town, beautiful sights and views and then of course for the Leuchtenburg.
