Great weather, so get some fresh air.Walpersberg the goal. The mountain went down in history because the world's first jet-powered fighter (Me 263) was mass-produced here during World War II. See also photos 38 and 39.Production took place in 3 floors of tunnels in the mountain. In total, there should have been 28 km of tunnels in the Walpersberg ...Visits to a small part of the facilities could possibly be registered. See photo 5.The small mill museum "Alte Dehna-Mühle" behind the mountain should also be mentioned, see photos. Wasn't there myself because nobody was there ...The former airfield on the mountain is now a forest. There are trees in each of the small blast holes in the concrete runway. The Red Army tried very amateurishly to make the airfield unusable 🤭Well, it was very shortly after the war ...
You probably know your way around the Walpersberg and Rothenstein, so you could have used you as a hiking guide on our tour today.
