The Levada do Rei is one of the most beautiful hiking tours in Madeira. The narrow irrigation canal leads through dense forests and is very easy to walk along the entire path. I find it such a pity that the most beautiful tours can only be reached with a rental car. I was missing information and possibilities to get to the tours by public transport.
A beautiful hiking route with fantastic views.
In my opinion, the route is easy for everyone to do, because the altitude difference was absolutely wrong. I got about 70 HM on two different clocks. Therefore a relaxed tour to arrive on this beautiful island.

Wonderful path along this levada. The path is absolutely flat and is very easy to walk. Definitely pack a jacket, because you can't get dry under the waterfall.
