The cultural trail to the testimonies of the secular and ecclesiastical past runs around the twin community of Zeltingen-Rachtig between Trier and Kurköln. You can get on this trail at various points, e.g. at the information board number 1 opposite the Hotel Deutschherrenhof in the Rachtig district. At first you walk through the old town center of Rachtig to the old church, which is already in the middle of the vineyards. A few steps back the vineyards are shared. Keeping to the left, you climb through the cultivated areas up to the viewing platform at the Pastorenkehre. The previously parallel wine experience path turns left here, while the culture path now leads you pretty much at a height above Zeltingen to the Roman holy house. You continue on the "Alten Heerstraße" until you come to the remains of the Rosenburg. Then the path leads you back along the branch path to the castle ruins towards Zeltingen. You follow the further branch path along the banks of the Moselle and come below the Rosenburg to the Zeltinger sundial, the largest fully functional sundial in German vineyards. Past the later seat of the Kurkölner and along the river bank you get to the market place of Zeltingen. The hike between Kurköln and the German rulers officially ends here. You can walk back to the starting point in Rachtig through the center of Zeltingen or along the banks of the Moselle.
