Hear the silenceWhere does the gentle hum of the forest bees come from? Where is the deer that quietly cracked the branch? Hear the sound of silence, enjoy the peace! Hiking in the Franconian Forest is a contrast to the sensory overload. New worlds of noise open up to the ear - and natural silence drowns out everyday life!Just like in a textbook, our "French Way" presents you with the triad of landscapes typical of the Franconian Forest, consisting of wooded slopes, cleared plateaus with impressive views and narrow, water-bearing valleys. The gentle flow of the Schorgast accompanies you at the beginning and end of our hike! From above you can watch the course of the stream, which also feeds the heated outdoor pool.Following the Schorgast you cross the Weißenbach shortly before its mouth. No place is wandered through, only nature can be heard. You could ponder over quiet wandering: Why is the path called after the French? According to stories, French prisoners of war built the path through the forest and have since been used as a reminder in the name.
