Hear the silenceWhere does the gentle hum of the forest bees come from? Where is the deer that quietly cracked the branch? Hear the sound of silence, enjoy the peace! Hiking in the Franconian Forest is a contrast to the sensory overload. New worlds of noise open up to the ear - and natural silence drowns out everyday life! The sound of the water will accompany you on your hike "Im Stübengraben", as the names of the stations already suggest! You start in Weißenbrunn, cross the Leßbach, in Stübengraben the natural path demands a courageous step over the Stübenbächlein, past the Hetzenbrunnen you reach Fischbach and follow the water of the same name on a natural path through its charming valley. The sound of your steps mingles with the gentle rustling and gurgling of the water: firm steps up onto the cobblestone mountain, the paving of which was already awarded to Napoleon with stone slabs, but only took place in 1884. Soft and always a little differently felt steps on coniferous forest paths, over moss, on deciduous soils and on meadows at the edge of the forest. You seldom meet on the streets, mostly relaxing solitude is your way. Unless you're in Weißenbrunn on one of the special holidays: Franconian beer instead of water flows out of the stone breasts of the water mermaid at the Jungfer-Kättl-Brunnen. The silence is over on these days, but you shouldn't miss enjoying the beer and a visit to the nearby brewery and butcher museum!
