Breathe wideDeep forests, bright clearings, plateaus with surprising views: hiking in the Franconian Forest opens up unexpected horizons for the eyes and soul! In the face of the greatness of nature, our everyday fears and worries become void and small. We breathe space and find ourselves.Follow our "Dörnach-Steig", alternating between forest and meadow, on natural paths up to the "Hergottswinkel" hiking hut. Enjoy the wonderful views of the surrounding mountains on the mountain ranges. From here you can take a look into the western valley of the Wild Rodach and across to the Leutnitztal. At these heights you can enjoy the untouched nature and let your thoughts run free in peace. The valley of the Wild Rodach also opens up to your gaze in the tranquil district of Dörnach. Enjoy the view over to the Thuringian Forest with a leisurely rest. Perhaps you think of the old raftsmen who made their living by traveling far away. The raftsmen got to know the big wide world through their job, but they always enjoyed returning to the Franconian Forest. Deeply rooted in their faith, the families back home prayed for those who had passed away that they would return home safely. The raftsmen did the same on their journey, longing for their loved ones back home.
