Breathe wideDeep forests, bright clearings, plateaus with surprising views: hiking in the Franconian Forest opens up unexpected horizons for the eyes and soul! In the face of the greatness of nature, our everyday fears and worries become void and small. We breathe space and find ourselves. You can see an unbelievable 120 kilometers from the Prinz-Luitpold-Turm high up on the Döbraberg - if the weather cooperates! The viewing platform is a main station on our "Schwarzenbacher Weitblicke" hike and has even more superlatives to offer: At 794 meters, the Döbraberg is the highest natural elevation in the Franconian Forest and the steel Prinz Luitpold Tower, with its 18 meters, cracks the 800 mark ! A grandiose panoramic view is the reward for the ascent: In the east you can see the Ore Mountains, in the southeast and south the Fichtel Mountains, in the west the Staffelberg and the Veste Coburg, in the northwest the imposing forests over the Thiemitztal and in the north the expanses of Franconian Forest and Thuringian Forest there. In addition to this panoramic view, our hike surprises with many other and very different views. Most of the time you hike on natural paths in the forest, but suddenly the trees reveal the view: sometimes in narrow aisles, then at an angle of 180 degrees, then a little more or less. It is these different perspectives that open our eyes to the beautiful Franconian Forest.
