On the cliffs of Punta del ToroThis very short tour from El Toro to the top of Punta del Toro is a great way to enjoy beautiful sunsets. From the viewpoint above the Racó de se Fragata bay, where you can also get down to the bay via a staircase, we follow a wide path and after around 400 m we come to the gate where the former military area El Toro begins. Access is through a hole in the wall to the right of the gate. After another 900 m over wide paths we come to a point from which one has a very nice view over the Punta del Toro. This is also the key point of this hike: to get to the top, you have to climb one level lower on the ridge. The ridge initially runs on the left side, but later changes to the right side. If you have reached the top here, too, you have missed the easily overlooked path that leads further down ... but you get another very nice view to compensate. The branching path then leads you down to the top of Punta del Toro, where you can also enjoy very beautiful views, before going back on the same path.

Starting point:Lookout point above Racó de se FragataConditions:Despite its short length, this tour is no walk in the park!A bit of scrambling is required at the key point and surefootedness and a head for heights are also recommended on the following ridge!Note:Although the area has not been used for several decades, it is still officially a restricted military area. This hike is part of our collection:"Mallorca - hiking in the southern Serra de Tramuntana"komoot.de/collection/900391/-mallorca-wandern-in-der-suedlichen-serra-de-tramuntana
Wonderful impressions, romantic sunset! But that was also available here in the Sauerland today, albeit a few degrees colder. And thousands of cranes that are on their way south .....This short hike is also saved! We have never been to the corner of Mallorca. The proximity to Magaluf rather scares us off ... but it also seems to be very nice down there

@ Frank: Thank you very much. Yes, the corner down here is very nice. Especially around Portals Nous / Puerto Portals, Santa Ponsa / Port Adriano and then on to Port d´Andratx, this corner of Mallorca has a lot to offer ... both scenic and gastronomic.
