The first stage of the 320-kilometer-long Jura High Trail starts your hiking adventure like a dream: On the 25-kilometer route, picturesque villages, impressive views and a few meters of altitude await you. The long-distance hiking trail starts at the train station in Dielsdorf. So you can arrive relaxed by train.Dielsdorf is at the end of the Lägern chain, the easternmost of all Swiss Jura foothills. You hike uphill through picturesque vineyards to Regensberg and on over the beautiful Lägerngrat. The higher you climb, the more beautiful the view becomes - pause for a moment and let the panorama affect you.Soon the path will lead you downhill again to the beautiful city of Baden. How about a break on the banks of the Limmat? Then it goes uphill again. Via the Gibstorfer Horn you continue to the historic town of Brugg, your destination for today. In Brugg you will find a good selection of accommodation as well as a train station.
