Hiking Highlight (Segment)
komoot planned a hike.

Your first day of hiking starts at almost 1,900 meters above sea level directly on the turquoise blue Formarinsee. After you have seen enough of the breathtaking mountain panorama, you walk on the Lechweg on comfortable paths and with fantastic views down the valley.Soon, a narrow mountain stream bubbles next to the path. The Formarin brook gets bigger and wider on your hike and joins after a while with the Spullerbach to the Lech.Shortly after you reach the Gasthaus Älple, which is perfect for a first break. Then you cross the Lech and walk along its shore down to the finish line Lech am Arlberg. The starting point is best reached with the hiking bus from Lech am Arlberg. Alternatively, you can arrive the day before and spend another night at the Freiburger Hütte on Formarinsee. All information about the hiking bus can be found at lechweg.com/en/service/bus-connections
Hello. I would like to do this walk. Is there a list of accommodations that are at the respective destinations? Do you have to book in advance or are there sleeping places for hikers?

Hello, I would like to do the tour but often dogs are not welcome in the huts, so I would be interested to know if there are huts where dogs are definitely welcome or if there is the possibility to camp at the end of each stage? LG

Hello everybody,I hiked the Lechweg with dog last year.It was great, but booked in advance with a provider all accommodations, as dogs are unfortunately not welcome everywhere. It was particularly unfriendly on the Gehrnerhof above Warth.Without a dog it is great and the owner is praised on the internet.Towards me, with a dog, her behavior bordered on bullying.Did not learn until the next morning that it should be on the dog. He has never barked, left hardly any dirt and was otherwise "almost invisible".

In the Lechtal there is a free ticket for the bus from the second night. Therefore, I can definitely recommend the Landgasthof Kaiserkrone in Elmen as a location hotel. They are super nice, well-kept rooms, great service, great kitchen.Best of all, they are extremely fond of animals and children. My dog was greeted in the room with her own pillow, treats and droppings. The bus stops almost in front of the house. The buses run regularly, the bus driver are super nice and helpful.
