You will particularly like this varied tour if you are already an experienced cyclist. From leisurely rail bike paths to beautiful nature trails to challenging inclines, everything is offered on this almost 60-kilometer tour. By the way, it goes there through Rhineland-Palatinate, back through Hesse. It starts in Westerburg at the railway museum directly at the train station. Then you drive on a former railway line to Bilkheim. There, it is worth taking a detour to the pretty moated castle, northeast of the village. It continues on enchanting bike paths to Elz. There you can fortify yourself in an inn or café.Your path leads you on to Hadamar with its castle and the pretty houses on the banks of the Elbe stream. Later it goes up with a few inclines to the Blasiusberg. Shortly afterwards you can witness a physical phenomenon: the "Eternal Ice" is located in a grotto a few hundred meters from the bike path. You pass an old quarry and after a nice descent there is a long slope. Then it is not far to your starting point in Westerburg.
