On the promising mountain tour you hike from the Geiereck in the north over the eastern ridge of the Untersberg massif to the mighty Berchtesgadener Hochthron.Starting from the Zeppezauerhaus, you soon reached the summit of the Geiereck. From there, a comfortable hiking trail leads to the Salzburg Hochthron. Then it goes steeply down to Mittagsscharte and on the other side up to Ochsenkamm. The path is now narrower, but easy to walk and high on the crest you have a fantastic view. You cross the Rauheck and the Gamsalmkopf until you climb the Berchtesgadener Hochthron. From the highest peak on the Untersberg massif you have a unique view. From there it is only a short descent to Stöhrhaus. The tour is suitable both as part of a multi-day hike over the Untersberg, but can also be hiked as a day trip. If you want to master the tour in one day, you take the Untersbergbahn to Geiereck and walk according to the description to the Stöhrhaus. From there you can hike down the Stöhrweg to Berchtesgaden and back to St. Leonhard by bus.
