The Honigberg tour near Maring-Noviand offers gentle vineyards and wide views over the Liesertal. From there you walk over the Lieser and turn left at the playground. You walk along the river bank in Maring-Noviand to the foot of the Honigberg. The sun-drenched paths lead through the vines, which shine golden yellow in autumn. At the point where the Liesertal merges into the Moselle valley, you can feel the characteristic properties of the Moselle slate, because here the path is bordered on one side by a massive rock wall.After the rock passage you will touch the place Lieser before it goes up to higher elevations. There you can enjoy an enchanting view of the Moselle, Mülheim and the vineyards. After five kilometers you will reach the Schöne Aussicht refuge, where you can soak up the wonderful panorama again. Then the Weinbergweg turns into a forest path. Surrounded by colorful leaves, you hike back in Liesertal and to the monastery courtyard, where you can stop off at the monastery mill.
