This hike leads through the colorful cultural landscape around the pilgrimage site of Klausen, which, with the two districts of Krames and Pohlbach, offers many “little escapes” for quiet contemplation. The Marienbrunnen is the starting point of the tour. Now you have to decide whether you want to visit the beautiful pilgrimage church of the Visitation of Mary right at the beginning or at the end of the hike - it's definitely worth it. From the Marienbrunnen you walk to the Abtsgarten, which impresses with its colorful flower and herb beds. You continue to the district of Krames, where you will pass pretty farmhouses. There follows a short section along the banks of the babbling Kramesbach, before you cross a road and follow the path at the edge of the forest. Passing recultivated gravel pits you get to Pohlbach, where you can visit the Margaret Church. You leave the district of Klausen behind you and dive into the forest again. The path begins to climb gently and takes you up to the Maria Rast refuge. The name says it all and from the benches you can enjoy a fantastic view of the hilly landscape. Then it goes down into the Badenbachtal and a little later you are back at the starting point in Klausen.
