From Bad Langensalza today it goes on largely flat 45 kilometers to Sömmerda. On the way you can look forward to beautiful nature along the river. The first part of the route will take you east. Right at the beginning of the cycle path meanders through a beautiful nature reserve directly along the Unstrut. Then the bike path leaves the riverbank and leads you across wide fields and small villages. From Haßleben it goes north. On the way to the stage destination Sömmerda you will pass the beautiful monastery of St. Wigberti. In Sömmerda there are numerous accommodations in all price ranges. If you only want to ride the bike up to here, you can just continue by train from Sömmerda.

In Sömmerda there is the Thüringer Hof. A recommendable hotel and restaurant. I came here from Erfurt.

Nice tour, especially the first piece with a nature reserve near Nägelstedt. Then it's sometimes long and straight with a view over the open field. Well ... the gastronomy is mostly missing ... 😔
I can only agree with Charly regarding accommodation and gastronomy. The Thüringer Hof is located almost directly on the bike path and is, especially if you have a room at the back, great for staying overnight and also for dinner! 👍
