This circular hike leads through the original and today's Moselle valley - because thousands of years ago the Moselle only flowed north of the town of Lieser. In the course of the route you will come across sections of the ObstArtWeg near Wehlen and the forest adventure path on the plateau of Lieser and Kues. A special highlight is the hero view, which was chosen as the “Most Beautiful Moselle Wine View 2020”.You start in Bernkastel-Wehlen at the Am Krausbach car park. From there you hike on the Wehlener ObstArtWeg past various adventure stations and then through the forest up to the Kueser Plateau. In the climatic health resort of the city of Bernkastel-Kues you will first pass the Cusanus Hofgut and then the beautiful Kurpark. Then you hike between the forest and vineyards towards Lieser, enjoying fantastic views of the Moselle valley. The absolute highlight of this section is the hero's view, the “Most Beautiful Wine View 2020”. From the bench high above the vines, you have an unforgettable panorama. After a rest, you descend into the wine village of Lieser and follow the route back into the vineyards. At the Paulskirche it is worthwhile to pause for a moment: From here the glacial current of the Moselle can be clearly understood, because at the foot of the church lies a dry valley that extends to Lieser and today's Moselle. The original Moselle valley continued to Mülheim, Veldenz and Burgen.Past the Dreifaltigkeit refuge, you continue to hike slightly uphill on the Moselle ridge. After 14 kilometers, turn left and descend back to Wehlen with its orchards.
