This single-track tour starts and ends at the valley station of the Hahnenklee Bike Park. This means: At the end of the tour, a really good descent awaits you. This also means: After that, the tour does not have to be over yet. If you still feel like it, just grab your bike, let it lift you up again and just check out the other bike park tracks until you can not. Before you can fully enjoy the wonderful nature around Hahnenklee in the Upper Harz. This good lap is perfect for that. After a short ups and downs, a simple but enjoyable descent awaits you, ending at the Granetalsperre. There you have wonderful views of the water and you can rest on the paved path around the dam a little before it goes over singletrack and farm roads up to the Bocksberg. At the mountain station of the Bocksberg cable car at 728 meters you have made it. Here you have the free choice of how you would like to end this tour. Do you decide for the tough downhill slope, for the fun freeride downhill or rather for the enjoyable flow trail?

Just finished, 2x downhill in the bike park at the beginning, then rum, sometimes already demanding, but also as MTB beginners everything feasible, a little driving experience presupposed. Lake view is awesome and there are many good places to take photos.

Right at the beginning of km 1.2 a partly heavy climb with Haanadel curves and wet foliage very unfavorable. As of 8.10.18 at km 5.0, the tour is not passable, because hiking trails have still not been freed of tree clumps or remains of tree fall obstruct complete paths. The descent to Granetalsperre is beautiful but undemanding. The ascent to Bocksberg long steep on gravel roads but mobile. Overall, I would have liked more trails with slight gradients.

Can I join the previous speaker. Right at the beginning of a trail up, I would actually rather shut down. Hardly mobile, especially in autumn (at least not with bio-drive). We stayed on the gravel road and took a longer detour, which gave us a great view. The climb to Bocksberg has towards the end also a steep slope oblique in the slope with roots. Who has enough breath then can drive that. I had to stop several times because my pulse was at the stop.Prospects on the track are partly terrific. We had good visibility and could look over the dam until far into the surrounding area. It's worth the tour.
Singletrack and claim are rather low. A somewhat difficult passage comes right after the holiday park Hahnenklee. It makes you happy because of roots and Co.
A second singletrack with some charm then comes half way from the dam to Bocksberg. The remaining "trails" are rather simple XC level or just forest highways.
In sum, because of the nature and views a nice tour, but it has in the end because of the increases quite in itself.

The best trails, which are also a bit more demanding, unfortunately go up ... And with some 20% incline it is difficult to drive. Sometimes also paths that are not mobile due to cleanup work. 10cm high mud. During the tour I would have liked to have driven them the other way round.
