This tour offers everything that makes mountain biking so great: from the relaxed, idyllic single trail in the midst of beautiful nature on rustic, warm hospitality to the sporty downhill descent is all there. Boredom is the last thing that gets you here.Let's start in Schulenberg, the small village in the Upper Harz, which does not exist anymore in its original form. Because in the 1950s, several districts were completely flooded to build the Okerstausees. Today, the center is located on the shore of the lake. With this in mind, it is a relaxed first uphill to earn you the altitude for a wonderfully flowige, no less than seven kilometers long descent. After so much enjoyment it will be quite challenging at the end of the tour. A crisp climb takes you up to the start of Racepark Schulenberg. This wonderfully family bike park offers different routes of different demands, so you will definitely find the right reward descent for you. From the rather flowigen singletrack ("hidden track") to the ambitious downhill descent, there is something for everyone. Marked clean, so you can decide spontaneously, which trail you want to follow.Back in Schulenberg we recommend the traditional traditional patisserie Café Muhs in Oberharz, where Barbara and Stefan Muhs serve their handmade delicacies with a wonderful view.

I can't really recommend this tour, maybe a bit more appealing if you drive it the other way around, i.e. counterclockwise. But even then, the 19% gradient or incline at Goslar will only be drivable for very few !? Apart from a few paths, mostly boring forest paths. The bikepark is pretty rocky but may also be due to the early season when I went on the tour yesterday?

In this case, one should not be fooled by the promising name of this tour and the charming description. The tour does not live up to what it promises. The Harz is beautiful and has a lot to offer, but this is not shown on this tour.

Good tour and very varied. The climb after Goslar is unrideable! Wet, rocky, muddy...a long walk. Not sure why this is a “best of Hartz”...still fun but exhausting.
