Today you can expect a contemplative section through undulating forest and meadowland. The cities of Leutkirch im Allgäu, Isny im Allgäu and Wangen im Allgäu form the historical framework.South of Leutkirch you cycle with pleasure through the idyllic Allgäu, as you know it from many photos: crystal clear brooks babble through lush green meadows, which here and there make room for a village or a tranquil small town.Isny im Allgäu nestles close to the northern foothills of the Allgäu Alps and is the first highlight of the section. Today's climatic health resort looks back on almost 1,000 years of history, which is reflected in the old town with its high walls, towers and gates. As you get closer, you will notice the Nikolaikirche, which forms a harmonious unit with the neighboring church of St. George and James and the buildings of the former Benedictine monastery. The following 25-kilometer section to Wangen in the Allgäu is pure cycling pleasure: the impressive zigzag band of the Alps is getting closer and seems close enough to touch. You cycle on to Eglofs through the landscape near Argenbühl crossed by streams. Before you arrive in Eglofs, the romantically situated castle pond in Siggen will definitely be tempting - we have already planned the seven-kilometer detour for you in the tour. The harmonious village square of Eglofs is framed by stately inns, the lovingly painted town hall and the baroque church of St. Martin. The neo-Gothic fountain is an eye-catcher.The heart of the Württemberg Allgäu beats in the stage destination of Wangen im Allgäu. Stone eyewitnesses from over five centuries are distributed in the historical city guarded by typical regional painted towers. The famous weekly market, which was first mentioned in 1286, is held every Wednesday in the listed center. Two particularly bike-friendly accommodations are the Hotel Alte Post and the Hotel Blaue Traube. You can find more information about the third stage at
