Trails, Trails, Trails! On this tour you are guaranteed not bored. Hohenstein, Kohlensiepen, Hartenberg - all names that are a local name for really nice Enduro tours. The highlight of the route is the section from the Harkortberg in Wetter to the Hohensyburg near Dortmund, which you drive along a ridge, which always offers you a great view of the Ruhr, the Harkort and the Hengsteysee. Green Ruhr area of the very finest. So many trails will challenge you a bit. Typical Ruhrgebiet it is always crisp uphill followed by a nice descent. Simply flat straight ahead - no indication. So much variety but just fun, which is all the better, since you've earned it yourself. The reward comes at the end: A beautiful, long-drawn descent brings you back to Witten. And there are plenty of opportunities for you to refresh or refresh yourself.

So the route is unfortunately nothing. Few trails with a lot of uphill. For normal MTB riders, it often means pushing here. Sometimes trails are simply avoided. I cannot recommend it at all.

I thought the tour was great, was on the gravel. Ingenious trails and forest paths. Attention: at KM28 you cannot drive the specified route because a house has now been built there and you would have to drive through the garden. Shortly before, turn a little to the right on the main road, then turn left into the forest path and you will get back to the original route. Thanks for providing, had a lot of fun!

Unfortunately, the description "Trails, Trails, Trails ..." gives false hope. Mainly you drive here on forest highways, just drive past really good trails, or push your MTB up the 2-3 really interesting trails, as these are simply approached in the wrong direction.

For people who are looking for a nice enduro / all mountain trail tour so unfortunately not recommended in this form. For people who want to climb a few meters on easy-to-ride forest trails without great technical demands, that's okay.
Since I was in the area for the first time, and often adapted the route for myself, I was able to at least get an impression of what is still going on there, and will put together my own tour next time.
