The starting point of the round tour is at the Heidenheim-Schnaitheim train station. Along the Brenz you leave Schnaitheim and descend over a hill into the Steinheim basin, which was created by a meteorite impact. In Steinheim, it is worth taking a detour to the Kraterblick mountain hut, from which you have a great view of the pool. Then you climb out of the crater and reach the highest point in the region at almost 700 meters. On the high plateau you cycle through magical forests. On the way you can make a detour to the Wental with its unique rock formations.Shortly before the finish, you roll down on a refreshing descent back into the Brenztal, where you can take a leisurely break at Lake Itzelberger See. You then cycle back to the starting point in Schnaitheim along the Brenz.
