The Fuhsetour leads from the source in the Oderwald to behind the Salzgittersee to Broistedt on large sections directly along the Fuhse. On the way you can enjoy both the beautiful nature and some cultural highlights.Start is the western edge of the Oderwald. From here it goes past Groß Flöthe to Flachstöckheim. The old manor there is idyllically located in a park where you will also find an open-air stage. The 29.5 meter high water tower in Lobmachtersen is impressive. The route also leads past Lake Heerter, a bird sanctuary and European reserve. A stop here is almost mandatory for nature lovers.Culture lovers will get their money's worth again at Salder Castle. The Salzgitter Museum's exhibitions are located in the castle and on the surrounding area. In addition to insights into human and urban history, the museum offers constantly changing exhibitions with free admission.At Salzgittersee you can end the tour either in one of the restaurants with a view of the lake, the beach bar or directly on the water.
