From Schlanders it goes today to Merano. This stage is about ten kilometers shorter than the previous one and continues to be pleasantly downhill. On the way, you can thus relax the incredible landscape, which is composed of mountains, apple orchards, small villages and the Adige. On the first half of the tour, the cycle path takes you past Kastelbell Castle, which sits enthroned on a high cliff surrounded by vineyards. Shortly before the destination of Merano you have from the height a beautiful view of the city, which lies at your feet at this moment. Then follows a lively descent to the stage finish.Merano itself is an absolutely beautiful city that invites you to take a short walk through the center after this short leg. If you want to stay in Merano, you have a wide choice of accommodation here. If you prefer to leave, you can easily do it by train.
