What do you need most for mountain biking? Right, mountains! And we haven't seen mountains that are too high yet. The tours have been really cool so far, but more of an ups and downs in cross-country style. But what we really love: Long downhill sections where you can really let it roll! And unfortunately the mountains in Sweden only begin relatively far north, so you have to be willing to spend many hours in the car on a trip like ours. But: Driving here is fun! Hardly any traffic, magnificent landscapes and if you are lucky you can even see moose or reindeer, as we did on the way to Lofsdalen. The landscape here is very different from further south. It's a lot barren here, it's almost like being on the tundra. The forests are dominated by larks and birches, blueberry bushes grow everywhere. Full of anticipation, we get off at the Lofsdalen bike park parking lot, change our clothes and drive off.The bike park is now closed during the week in September, because it is really autumn here and not many tourists are out and about. We don't mind, because with the eBikes we don't have to rely on the chairlift, but can drive up the steep maintenance routes. Although that is actually exhausting! And on an incline of 28 percent we actually can't get any further despite the motor and push the rest of the way to the summit station. There we leave the bikes and make a short detour to the summit, from where we are rewarded with a magnificent view! The wind is blowing strongly, put on your down jacket quickly. Because of the cold, we can't stand it for long and hike back to our bikes. Now it's going downhill! The trails of the bike park are divided into colors, whereby we have the feeling that these scales do not correspond to the gradations we are familiar with. Be that as it may, we get down very well everywhere and enjoy the mixture of views and flowing or technical trails.Once at the bottom we are absolutely thrilled and go straight back up! Because there is nobody else on the way, we drive the green trail uphill - attention: please do not follow it - this is actually a downhill trail! We let off steam for a while and when it is time to look for a place to sleep for the night, we enjoy the last descent and drive back to the parking lot. That was a great spot for biking!
