A real pleasure tour! Sure, the Käsealm is the highlight. But also on the way there and back there are always little temptations waiting for you, which you can give in to. Although this tour is relatively short and does not pose a major physical challenge, you can plan a little more time and eat your way through the regional delicacies on the way. From the start in Brixen, you first warm up on a beautiful bike path before you turn into the picturesque Windau Valley. Here you follow the course of the Windauer Ache, an idyllic mountain river, whose rushing accompanies you sometimes very close, sometimes from a distance. The highlight is the Käsealm Straubing. In the rustic hut you get a rustic snack and of course delicious cheese specialties from the region. Well strengthened, it goes back to Westendorf and Brixen on the little-traveled Windautalstrasse.
