Today's tour is the queen stage and takes you for the first time in the low mountain range north of Reus: Muntanyes de Prades. Already on the first kilometers it goes, albeit not immediately recognizable, steadily uphill. After leaving Reus behind you, you can already see the first destination of the day, the Alt de la Mussara. The driveway is winding and leads in places through densely wooded area. A little further up the road, however, regularly gives the view of the coastal region and the built on old walls turn invites you to a short photo session.Once at the top, it goes down again - in the direction of Mont-ral and Capafonts, past small towns, ruins and beautiful landscapes. After about 20 kilometers of undulating descent you collect the next altitude on the Coll de Capafonts, another highlight of this tour. Once you've passed Coll, you can stop in Prades after a few miles. After Prades, the route continues west. If the traffic and your own ability permit, the 11.5 kilometer descent to Cordunella de Montsant is a guarantee for lots of fun. But also cozy downhillers get their money - the landscape is fantastic! The next highlight of this tour is the road between Cordunella and la Morera de Montsant. The village lies on the edge of the Serra de Montsant Natural Park, the second major low mountain range in this region. While the driveway has a moderate slope, the descent to the west is much steeper.
After passing Escaladei, follow the road T-702 towards Poboleda. In this section you will find yourself in the middle of the oldest winegrowing region of Catalonia: the Priorat. This region is connected to the coastal region by the Coll d'Alforja, which is the last climb of this tour. There is a long descent behind you as well, and just as it went almost imperceptibly uphill at the beginning of the day, it's always downhill.
