Your sixth stage of the Burgenwanderweg will take you through two completely different landscapes. The first section to Bücknitz runs through the Natuschutzgebiet Fiener Bruch. The moist and hilly meadows are the habitat of many and rare birds. Countless birds come on their hikes through the flat valley and raise their offspring here. After Bücknitz the landscape changes and instead of wet meadows dry and sandy pine forests await you. Especially in summer, the warm softwood fragrance will remind you of Southern Europe. At this stage you will also pass the old owl mill, where you can take a break. You can start the hike by bus 560 and 562 from Potsdam or Brandenburg an der Havel as well as by bus 588 from Bad Belzig. However, you will not be able to find accommodation in the small village of Friesdorf, the stage destination. Multi-day hikers are best taken by bus 559 to Gräben or Groß Briesen, where suitable guesthouses can be found. The bus 559 brings you back to Brandenburg on the Havel, if it goes back home for you after the hike. For more information, please visit fahrinfo.vbb.de
