Michael wandert 🌄 and Karin Kreutz went for a hike.

    Tour day 3/4
It starts at 8 a.m. A beautiful hiking trail leads away from the canal, up to Burg. My first destination is the Bökelburg, which was built here in the 8th century directly on the Geestrand. There is not more than a wall of considerable size left today. Breakfast is served in a local bakery. I wait there for Karin, who will accompany me on this stage. We don't know each other yet, it's a Komoot blind date. What connects us: we both hiked the E1 through D. She is right in front of me at the agreed time. After a coffee together, you can start. There are more than 30km ahead of us, which pass by in a flash. The thread of the conversation doesn't break while walking, the area is of secondary importance today. The path is also exciting. So we pass a sports airfield, which is on a moraine near the Geest edge. You can play far over flat land where the North Sea spilled onto the cliff 5,000 years ago. Nearby is also the gigantic Bismarckstein, which was once brought up here. Then we descend from the edge into the flat land. After an extended coffee break in St. Michaelisdonn, we quickly walk through a forest where a war memorial hits our hearts. What atrocities did happen then! We go on trodden, we are soon on the long march. The sun smiles above us, not a breeze stirs, the landscape opens the heart again. After a long tour we reach Meldorf, where I stay the night and Karin takes the train back home. But before that comes, there is still time for a big cyclist in town. It was nice, Karin. Thank you for your company and the exciting stories.

    Hi Michael,
I will gladly give that back! Yesterday's tour was also a lot of fun for me.
I've heard and learned a lot about Komoot.
Your stories about the E1 were exciting. You can be sure to run all the way. And then the north cap is waiting for you !!!!
Thank you for the beautiful day. Until next time.
