Out of the city and into the countryside: On this almost 14-kilometer hike you immerse yourself in the beautiful nature around Würzburg, peppered with wonderful views of the old town of Würzburg. The starting point of the tour is at the Old Marienbrücke in the city center.The first green highlight awaits you right at the beginning: The path leads you through the beautifully landscaped park, which was created as part of the State Garden Show in 1990. You stroll through the park and up the mountain to the Marienberg Fortress. Once at the top, you've earned your first promising break.Then, through the steep vineyards, it goes downhill again, past the Burkard church and a little later up to the Käppele pilgrimage church. The next lookout stop is guaranteed here. Shortly afterwards the path leads you past the Schützenhof, where you can stop off. Freshly strengthened, you continue through the idyllic Anna Gorge and then through the peaceful Steinbachtal.Soon you will cross the Main and walk along the bank through the Main meadows back to the Old Marienbrücke. Back at the starting point, you will find several restaurants for a cozy end, including Franconian specialties.
