On the island between the two arms of the Regnitz you hike from one green headland to the next and you will be surprised how close to nature the Franconian city is. The round starts at the concert hall.The green heart of the old town is the Hain city park, through which the writer E.T.A. Hoffmann walked his laps. Along the banks of the Regnitz you walk through the green area and quickly forget that you are actually in the middle of the city. On a nice day you can pack a picnic and make yourself comfortable in the middle of the idyllic park.Once you've left one park, it's not far to the next: The Bavarian State Garden Show took place on the so-called ERBA site in 2012, and today the park is a popular local recreation area for Bamberg residents and their guests.
