On the Outer Radring you drive around Bayreuth and discover exciting places and breathtaking nature outside the city center. The tour is quite hilly, but you will always be rewarded with beautiful views. The tour starts at the Festspielhaus, but of course you can get into the ring anywhere. At the beginning - or at the end - you will pass a pretty Kneipp facility where you can cool off your calves.Via Bindlach you initially drive on the plains, later a little hilly to the Lohengrin Therme. A short time later you will immerse yourself in a wonderful natural landscape. From the meandering Red Main, which you cross on an ancient stone bridge, you drive briefly uphill through the forest and then down again rapidly. In Rödensdorf you have mastered half of the stage. A rock cellar and a great beer garden are waiting for you there. At the gates of Gesees you drive to the fortified church St. Marien, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view. From here you cycle through small, secluded villages and on narrow streets through the forest until you have reached the festival hall again.
