"Gaaßleitn" - that's what the Franks call the steep slopes in Wartenfels. Goats used to be kept here - today you can explore them in the course of this beautiful Franconian forest glass.Starting from the center of Wartenfels and leading around once, this round is known above all for its brilliant views. In the relatively leisurely up and down, you hike from town to town and from one beautiful piece of nature to the next. You can enjoy wonderful views over the Franconian Forest to the Fichtelgebirge, pay a visit to a small chapel, enjoy the quiet forest streams and follow the traces of mining over narrow paths until you are back at your starting point almost 17 kilometers later. Get involved! All information about the FrankenwaldSteigla is available online at wandern-im-frankenwald.de.
