In front of the gates of the mighty Plassenburg, which towers high above Kulmbach, you lace up your hiking boots and set off.The area behind the castle is decorated with beautiful, old beeches. A shady path leads you through the magical forest down to Hauenreuth am White Main. A little later you will also reach Ebersbach, where a Kneipp facility awaits you (and your hiking feet) to cool off.Via the so-called Wolf's Throat you get back into the beech forest, you also pass a pavilion. If you have packed a snack, this is the ideal place to eat it. But even if you are not hungry, you can linger here for a moment and soak up the silence and power of the forest - "just like that".
