From the Vorderen Gosausee (sufficient parking space available) a wide road (driving ban, also for MTB) leads to the Hinteren Gosausee. Shortly before the Hinteren Seealm is the signposted junction to the Adamekhütte. The path leads from the Hinterer Gosausee over the rubble cone of the Halskogel, then through a sparse, increasingly lower forest, into treeless terrain. Here the “Bärenstaffl” has been overcome and there is a beautiful view of the Hinteren and Vorderen Gosau lakes. The path winds up in many serpentines, past the crumbling coarse rock hut. After about 2 hours we reach this point at an altitude of 1638m. After 5 minutes we reach a spring. It is the last of the way. After 30 min. we come to the junction of the path that leads over the Hohe Trog to the Simonyhütte. Shortly before, on the “Hohen Riedl” we see the Adamekhütte for the first time, within reach. From here you can walk a good half an hour to the Adamekhütte. The practice area of the Gosau Alpine School is also located here.Appropriate equipment is required due to the high alpine terrain. A quick change in weather can even bring snowfall. Therefore headgear, warm sweaters and gloves should be in the backpack.Return the same way.
