Bad Wildbad has much to offer not only for its spa guests, but also for pleasure hikers who like to have a little variety on the way.Let's go to the train station in Bad Wildbad. The first climb goes over the so-called Himmelsleiter - 365 stone steps that reward you with a beautiful view over Bad Wildbad. The steps are followed by the ascent to the Wetterfahnenhütte. From the clearing below the Wildbader Kopf you have a great view of the Enztal and the surrounding wooded ridges of the Black Forest.A little less steep it goes up to the soldiers well uphill. Here is a short break. The fountain was already used by soldiers in the 17th century as a source of fresh water and today is a popular resting place for hikers and mountain bikers. You stay on the ridge of the ridge and continue hiking to the Great Wendenstein, an impressive geological natural monument made of colorful sandstone. Before going back down to the valley, make a detour along the Glasmännleinpfad. From here you come to the new vantage point, from which you can enjoy the magnificent view down to the Enztal. The way back zigzags down the mountain to Bad Wildbad and ends directly in the spa park, through which you can walk back to the train station. If you still have some time (or your knees do not join the steep descent) you can stop at Sommerberg and from there take the train back to the valley.bad-wildbad.de/sommerbergbahn/gastronomie-sommerberg
