The itinerary is not a short loop but still feasible in a day. It starts from the Arnetola valley, unfortunately irremediably scarred by the marble flows of the ravaneti, and takes the ancient via Vandelli towards the Tambura pass. We then continue on the summit and then on the ridge until we cross the path of -1000 which leads us to the heart of Carcaraia with its karst landscape.
The excursion continues bypassing the Roccandagia towards Campocatino and then rejoining the outward route in the last stretch.
