Like all MTB tours around Saalfeld, this tour scores with panoramas. This time with the highlight Eisenberg, the highest point in the immediate vicinity of Saalfeld. The summit cross is unique in the region. The tour is just right for you if you enjoy single trails with tight switchbacks.You can find them at the beginning on Röderberg near Unterwirbach, here still in homeopathic dosage. After the driveway via Oberwirbach, the concentrated load follows. From the Hainberg down into the Schwarzatal it's almost 200 meters of the finest zigzag trail. The trail is not roughly blocked, but rather fluid, so that you can use the rear wheel offset well - in whatever technical variant.In Bad Blankenburg, a detour to the Chrysoprase weir on the Schwarza is a must. The popular photo motif is always an eye-catcher. If you haven't had enough, you can take the direct ascent to the Kulm from Remschütz and take the trail descent through Melktal with you. Otherwise your tour ends in Saalfeld with a cool drink.
