On the 47-kilometer round tour you will get to know the three most important monasteries in the region: Seeon, Frauenchiemsee and Baumburg. It starts in Seeon. Of course, you can also get on at any other place along the route, as it is a round tour. To start off, you drive along the north bank of the Klostersee and can make a first stop at the Seeon Monastery. Then you cycle through a beautiful landscape with great nature in the direction of Eggstätter Seenplatte. Passing the Hartsee you reach Eggstätt. From here the route leads you to the Chiemsee. On the way you can enjoy unforgettable views of the Alps again and again while you cycle comfortably on almost flat paths. In Gstadt am Chiemsee you can refresh your toes in the cooling water of the “Bavarian Sea” for the first time and take a look at the Fraueninsel, on which the Frauenchiemsee Monastery is located. If you want to visit it, you can take the ship from Gstadt. Then you roll north on the picturesque shore of Chiemsee. Fascinating views of the glittering water are guaranteed during the journey. In Seebruck you leave the Chiemsee and follow the Alz to Altenmarkt an der Alz, where the Baumburg Monastery is waiting for your visit. After a long break, you drive back to the starting point in Seeon.
