Marble, red sandstone and the Spessartite typical of the region determine this outstanding cultural route. Numerous wayside shrines line your path and offer you wonderful panoramic views as far as the Taunus. It starts at the Matthäuskirche. The first small ascent to a lookout point over the beautiful Main Valley is waiting for you here. In good weather you can even see the Frankfurt skyline and the Feldberg im Taunus. At the Bensenbruch you stand in front of a former quarry and the Schwind wayside shrine with an information board about the exciting story. You follow the marked path to the so-called breakfast oak. A perfect place with numerous benches for a rest, which gave the imposing tree its name. The path leads you through the hilly Spessart landscape to the old market square, which with the surrounding half-timbered houses still has a very village-like character. If you like, you can take a detour to the marble quarry from here before you walk back to the starting point.
