On the way to Munich we made a little detour to Linderhof Palace in the Ammer Mountains.
Magnificent royal residence of King Ludwig 2 from the 19th century. Originally I wanted to go there especially, so that was done. Very nice castle in the mountains, well worth a visit.
We parked in the chargeable parking lot by the castle (€ 2.40). We then went up above the castle, I thought there was a view of the castle from above, no, nothing. In the end we were rewarded with a path along the three-column brook, a wild mountain river with many waterfall steps. For me the highlight was the hike.

That's right, it's a magnificent residence and not that big, it's easy to get through sightseeing 👍

    Yes, Michael, you are right.
We were through with the castle quickly, that was not enough for us. That is why it should still be hiked around it.

somehow happiness sticks to your fingers. I don't know Linderhof Palace like that, entirely without the Chinese, Japanese and Americans. When we were there, we were happy to have got a parking space and then drove off again as quickly as possible. The idea of walking around the area is good.

Thank you Dieter. You're right, we haven't seen many foreigners. We almost had every building to ourselves to photograph.

We had this luck in winter for many years. Unfortunately, there are not so beautiful nature shots in there.
