Along the borders… and the Rio San Marino!Castles: Borgo Maggiore / Acquaviva / Chiesanuova / FiorentinoThe circular itinerary can be traveled in both directions. The departure is scheduled from the entrance to the Montalbo tunnels in the P11 parking lot in Borgo Maggiore (former heliport), 50 meters from the eBike Experience headquarters. We recommend starting the excursion in the direction of Murata. Two train tunnels will take you out near Montalbo where, following the paved road, you will arrive directly at the Montecerreto park. If you are with a companion in tow, he can divert the route according to your requests and needs. The track inside the park on a dirt road continues along the Costa dello Spino to cover just a few hundred meters along the Rio San Marino on a paved road.A detour to the right to start a nice uphill adventure where our Moterra e-bikes can provide you with all the assistance you need. In the meantime, you will have passed the state border of the Acquaviva Castle and, following dirt roads and asphalted roads, you will return from the border of Chiesanuova where you will cross the main square.A descent on the road paying attention to cars until you find the Rio San Marino and cross it on the bridge that marks the border with the Castello di Fiorentino. Immediately afterwards, a new adventure on the dirt road is upon us and, between climbs and descents with an unprecedented view of Mount Titano, we return to the roundabout that separates Fiorentino from Murata (uphill) and San Giovanni (downhill). If you are with a companion in tow, he can deviate the route according to your tiredness or desire for dirt roads.Continue towards Murata and immediately after a long curve take the road named after Gianni Widmer who, on April 16, 1913, made his first flight over the sky of San Marino. You will arrive in a completely open green area where you can roam freely following the tracks furrowed by the wheels of the motocross engines. The return on the main road has a not very compact bottom and rocks but, not even 300 meters and you will find yourself on a beautiful cycle path on the slopes of Mount Titano.A small detour in the park of Montecchio for a beautiful view of the San Marino skyline. The dirt road is finished but there is still a short passage inside the Castello di Borgo Maggiore, elected World Heritage Site (UNESCO) in 2008, before returning and concluding your experience.
