What do you do when the thermometer exceeds 30 degrees during the day and makes cycling a torture? You drive at night! In cool freshness and at nautical twilight (you can see a strip of light on the eastern horizon) we cycled in a north-easterly direction, our destination today: the district town of Wildeshausen. We were able to experience the sunrise near the Goldenstedter Moor, always a sensation! Towards the sun, the wild nature behind Varenesch, always close to the Hunten, through forests and on sandy paths, through small villages in the Wildeshauser Geest, particularly worth mentioning the village of Colnrade, idyllically situated on the Hunte, where there is a stove house and which is well known very interesting because of its "Hökermarkt", which always takes place on October 3rd! Through an undulating landscape we passed the Reckum Stones, two Neolithic large stone graves, and soon a nice stretch along the Hunte, then over the Burgwiese, at the late Romanesque Alexander Church we made a stop, definitely worth seeing! The church is currently closed for construction work, the service took place in the shade of old trees directly outside the church. The Pestrup burial ground showed itself today in purple, beautiful, the blooming heather on the burial mounds. The breakfast in town was delicious, as were the warm strawberries near Rechterfeld. Driving everything well, drinking a lot on the way, the great heat before
come, already rested in the cool home.

Solo, it's good that you started so early in the morning! Good for you and good for us! Beautiful pictures were successful in the morning. The blooming heather at the Pestrup burial ground comes into its own. I wish you a relaxing evening in the cool home!

Thank you Dieter, I wish you that too. Have a quiet, cozy evening. Remember: move slowly in the heat, if at all ...

Funny, I drove the same route to Wildeshausen the day before in the early morning hours with a wonderful sunrise. Is really a nice route.

That's right, Caesar, your tour was our role model, I thought it was so good, and because we always think twice about where the tour should take us, that was very helpful, I hope that's fine with you !?

Very good idea with that timing. This bull in picture 13 is spectacular. A real muscle pack. It's actually stupid that they just put up with slaughter. Anyway, nice tour of both of you and interesting impressions.

This bull is not slaughtered, it is intended for breeding, such a splendid specimen brings splendid offspring.
