On the last day there are many options to end your adventure on the Sentiero Calanca. We decided to hike down via Braggio and from there take the funicular to Arvigo.
But first you are going to climb up again to the Passo Buffalora. Over the next kilometers you constantly lose altitude as you walk through a beautiful open larch forest. Soon you have to decide how you want to end the hike. As mentioned above, there are several options (via Alp di Fora).
We took a turn to the right following the signs to Braggio. It is a small mountain village with only 50 inhabitants and no cars. Definitely worth exploring and spending some time there. I can recommend trying the homemade ice cream at the restaurant Val Meira. This is a great way to end the hike!
The last meters down to the valley are very comfortable thanks to the gondola to the town Arvigo. If you are looking for a place to stay a night in Arvigo, then check out the BnB Ai Cav and don't miss the dinner there. It's fantastic Italian kitchen!
