If you want to hike around the Panzertalsperre, then why not take a trip to a refuge for rare animals and plants? The dam and the adjacent forests and streams have been a nature reserve since 1997.The route itself is laid clockwise in one half on a small asphalt road, on the other half on a gravel road, each with slight gradients. Whereby you have the best view of the reservoir as expected from the listed dam. Then it goes past old spruce stands, through a small forest landscape, which turns into a mushroom Eldorado from late summer. The motto is: Always along the fence - then you can not miss the path.
There is no parking directly at the dam, but you can park for free in the side streets in the adjacent residential area (for example in the Johann-Daniel-Fuhrmann-Str.). In addition, there is an advertised hiking car park nearby (Talsperrenweg). And there is also a public transport stop: Talsperweg / Bus 664.
