If you come from outside, you can easily park your car here at the Naab. The route starts in Dachelhofen and leads along the Naab, past the barrage of the former Bayernwerk coal-fired power plant. Continue to Klardorf where you cycle along the bike path towards Steinberger See (former lignite opencast mine) along the lake to Knappensee and back towards Schwandorf where the path still leads past Klausensee, towards the biogas plant (former Bayernwerk site) and you're back on Starting point. Next to it is the waterworks that supplies the Nabaltec company and the waste incineration plant with water. Well-tired trekking or mountain bikes should be used for the route because there are a lot of gravel paths.
