Magnificent buildings from the time as a garrison town await you on this 25-kilometer tour through Spandau. Discover Prussian fortifications and the impressive citadel surrounded by water. You start at the oldest town house in Berlin, the Gothic House, in the middle of the old town of Spandau. Over the bridge "Am Juliusturm" you drive over the Havel and immediately turn left to the citadel. You can either view the landmark of Spandau from the outside or take a tour. Every now and then even knight fights take place here. With your steely steed you continue to Haselhorst, through small parks and over to the island of Eiswerder. With the beautiful view over the Havel, the island is great for a break before you leave it over the large Eiswerder Bridge. You cycle along the banks of the Havel and on the outskirts of the district of Hakenfelde to lower the Spect. Here you can hop into the Spektesee at a great swimming spot.Once rolled through Staaken, you stand in front of the mighty Fort Hahneberg, which was built at the end of the 19th century during the Franco-Prussian War. You can explore it on a weekend on a guided tour. You cycle back over the green Bullengraben to the old town of Spandau.
