Today I visited some places from WWII again. The remains of an old airfield🛩️, an operational port of the 1st order, were on the map in Altenstadt Waldsiedlung. Here I was able to see the old hangar, two old bridges and fire water storage tanks, an old building that is now used by nature conservation and the old command bunker. The next goal was the foundation of an old radio or signal tower, which was also part of the Fugplatz, and from which I wanted to take some photos for someone. From here we went to Engelthal Abbey via two other waypoints. Here I took a break of almost an hour in the monastery garden and lay there lazily in the meadow😉.Then I briefly visited the "Dicker Berta" in the nearby forest before I passed Altenstadt, just before Oberau, a wonderful rest on the Nidder. Here a beautiful new rest area with access to the Nidder was newly established. At this beautiful spot I gave my feet a cool bath in the water.Promtly there were a few little fish playing with my feet. From here the KomootApp thought it had to hang up again😤. The restart had the result that the last section of this tour was no longer assigned to the past and I finally deleted it.I always find moments like that just annoying🤦.And, since Komoot somehow doesn't get baked ...Here in the video there is the complete, uninterrupted tour, including the correct time 😊 and possibly also the actual kilometers: Here is some historical information about the tour .....++++ Rommelshausen area ++++The four mysterious concrete bases in the forest date from the Second World War.A tower stood on them during the Second World War.The task of this tower is somewhat controversial due to the lack of clear records.Relevant literature was also unable to provide clear clarification. It is said that this was a wooden radio or signal tower that was supposed to report air raids on Frankfurt. There is also talk of a flak tower that served to secure the airfield in the forest settlement. There were many anti-aircraft positions in the area, which were found to be in hollows. The existence of the guns on concrete bases is not proven, but is alive in the stories of the population. This foundation also looks a lot more like the radio / signal tower. On the other hand, I find it nice that the small children from the village find that the forest dwarfs live here in secret 😁.Many thanks 👍😊, at this point, to Ms. Stine Kockrick from the local association Limeshain.++++ area Oberau ++++Oberau in the air war ...On November 26, 1943 at around 8:00 p.m. an English plane was shot down near Oberau. Incendiary bombs were dropped. There was only minor damage. The bomber landed between the sports field and today's Kochstrasse in Höchst. The pilots (5 Canadians) did not survive the crash. They were buried in the Oberau cemetery and Höchst cemetery and transferred to Canada after the end of the war. Angry people asked children present at the funeral to throw stones at the coffins. This could be prevented by the intervention of a few mothers.(Source: der-weltkrieg-war-vor-deiner-tuer.de.tl)

You climbed the big Berta: o)))
Indeed, yes, I have 🤣🤣🤣.
Whatever discoveries you make. 😅With the second agricultural device, I would have said spontaneously that it is a setting / planting machine. But I can't say for sure. You always take beautiful pictures and your stories are really fun to read. Thanks for sharing this in depth. 😊👍🏼Tell me, how do you get the label that I always have on my phone twice on the pictures? 🤔
Hi Tanja,Many thanks for your praise 👍🏼.Thanks for the tip with the planter. I'll add it right now. I also think it's one.I only use the labels when I edit them on the computer. This is the easiest and fastest way. Otherwise I would get a hair dryer on the way 🤣🤣 if I still had to type in all the cheese ”.By the way, I always get the descriptions twice on my cell phone, and to make matters worse, they are also displayed one above the other.
Unfortunately, this is always a shame, and could possibly. Correct komoot ?!

Yes, it should really be worked on.No idea what exactly went wrong with the crashes and what the bottom line is. Is it the end devices (storage) or really Komoot? Or both?Unfortunately I have too little idea about the matter. I mostly crash on tours, or over 20 kilometers.Could also be due to my rudimentary layman's view of the cache of the cell phone🤷🏻.The route accuracy, however, or the problems with the GPS are definitely due to the software. Relive's route recording doesn't bother here at all and the tours are logged exactly. So this problem cannot be due to the cell phone. But at Relive they have a not nearly as nice user seat shape as Komoot.I personally don't like Relive at allUltimately, this is the reason not to migrate there.
