The last stage of the BergeSeen eTrails pulls out all the stops and shows you what the Salzkammergut has to offer. The route includes a beautiful lake at the start and end. Garnished with alpine pastures, panoramic views, a deep gorge and all the culinary side effects, you will once again experience pure enjoyment. You start in Steinbach am Attersee, where you can start the day with a refreshing dip in the cool lake. You follow the shore for a while before the route turns left and the long ascent to the Eisenaueralm is in front of you. If you look back, you can once again enjoy the wonderful view of the southern end of Lake Attersee. A wide forest path now leads steadily uphill through the middle of picturesque alpine meadows framed by the gray mountain peaks. At the top you reach the highest point of the day at just over 1,000 meters. If you feel hungry and want to take a break in this beautiful place, you can stop at the Buchberghütte, which has been specially designed for bikers.Otherwise it goes downhill towards Mondsee. On the way you can always expect impressive panoramic views over the Mondsee in the direction of Salzburg, the Thalgauberg, the Drachenwand and the Eglsee. Once at the bottom, you can refresh yourself in the water before slowly but surely approaching the goal of this stage and the end of the Berge Seen eTrails. But two climbs are still waiting for you: First you drive through the shady Kaiserwald to the Zwerchbühel. Finally, we have to master the Mondseeberg. On a finely paved road you finally roll down to Mondsee, where you can end the day and your whole tour at one of the cozy bathing areas of the lake of the same name.
