As stage 8 ended, the ninth begins: technically demanding. This stage includes two downhill trails and two challenging ascents. A nice challenge for experienced drivers, less experienced refine their driving technique or just push a bit.But at first the stage starts very relaxed. On a bike path with a gentle incline you slowly warm yourself up until you reach the Almsee. If you like, there is a little side trip to refresh yourself in the cool water. If you'd prefer to drive a little longer, look forward to the Offensee and on the way there. It's really beautiful, but it's also a technical challenge. Offensee also has a swimming area and even a snack station where you can fortify yourself. After a break at the lake, the next challenge follows: A technical uphill trail demands full concentration. Maybe you prefer to take it easy and push instead. Either way: As a reward there is a nice descent with a panoramic view over the Rindbach valley and to Ebensee. Past the Feuerkogel cable car, the route bends to the right. A steep climb takes you up to the Hochsteinalm. If that becomes too much for you, you can simply continue to follow the road before turning right - this way you can save yourself 600 meters in altitude and reach the two Langbath lakes much faster. Again you have the opportunity to cool off in the clear lake water. Now it's almost done. A few more crisp climbs up to the Grossalm and you reach the beautiful Kientalstraße, which leads to the stage destination in Steinbach am Attersee.Tip: To avoid the sometimes demanding technical sections of the eighth and ninth stage, you can turn from stage 8 to stage 9 in Ebensee and save around a day's distance in this way. Just keep in mind that you have to think about this beforehand - otherwise there is no way around the difficult sections.
